With straight hair, interlocking is a great big no. Twisting or braiding straight hair can even cause hair breakage within the locks, which leads to thin spots. It is not recommended at all. Sometimes interlocking is used to tighten new growth, but if pulled too tight there’s a lot of tension on the hair. This cannot only cause headaches, it can lead to hair loss or even hair thinning.
Don’t be tempted to try interlocking!
